Probiotics, Prebiotics and Health!

Lets talk Probiotics, Prebiotics and Health. Now antibiotics are good at destroying disease causing bacteria but did you know that they also destroy what we call "the body's good bacteria" or "flora" which are very important for your overall health (so it's a win and loose situation) and this is where probiotics come in!
Probiotics are living micro organisms that are beneficial for our body when ingested in sufficient amounts.
What do they do!?
They reinforce the urinary system
Aid in digestion of foods that have not been digested by the GIT such as carbs, fats, and also fiber
Where can I get this from!? Foods rich in Bifido bacteria and Bacillus such as
Yoghurt
Soybean and Soybean milk
Garlic
Cheese/ Raw milk cheese
Bifido yoghurt
are top picks to replace your good bacteria.

Now because Prebiotics are the foods that this probiotics feed on, it is important to involve them in your diet for the overall health of your Digestive system in particular and you know the saying healthy stomach, healthy body!
Sources of probiotic foods are
Honey
Banana
Tomato
Wheat
Garlic
Chicory
Asparagus
Sugar beet
Onion
Milk
Fruits and Vegetables
Breast milk (very important in reinforcing the Gut for new borns)
You can always eat the 2 sources separately or you might try joining for an easier consumption (example putting honey in soy bean milk).

Avoid abusing the use of antibiotics
